What Is On the Free Resources Page?
Character Match
This one is great for beginners. You get a Mandarin character, its Pinyin, and an English meaning, and your job is to match them correctly.
It sounds simple, but it is one of the fastest ways to start recognising characters and building that connection between how a word looks, how it sounds, and what it means. Repetition in a fun format like this really does stick.
Fill in the Blank
Once you know some characters, the next step is recalling them without being given the answer.
This exercise gives you a sentence with a missing Mandarin character and Pinyin, and you have to fill it in.
It is the kind of active recall practice that makes the knowledge go from short-term memory to something that stays with you.
Pick the Meaning
You see a Mandarin word and you pick its correct meaning from a few options.
