Amanda, a passionate Mandarin teacher who tried using the traditional and formal teaching style, found out that students often feel bored and unmotivated in learning Mandarin over time.
So she switched her teaching style, made the lesson more practical and fun, and tailored lessons to students’ preferences. As a result, this makes learning Mandarin much easier and enjoyable!
Our Goal
As Mandarin becomes more widely spoken around the world, being able to speak it has become a valuable skill to have, not just in Malaysia.
Our goal is to make learning to speak Mandarin more accessible and enjoyable across Malaysia, because it’s a future-proof skill that will live with you forever!

I am a teacher in an SK school at Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor.
I have been eager to learn Mandarin since childhood. Although I did not use it in my daily life, learning Mandarin has always been a personal interest and passion of mine.
Learning Chinese with Wang Laoshi (FUNdarin Hub)
In 2016, I got the opportunity to learn Mandarin when I came across a Chinese class conducted at Wang Laoshi’s centre in Banting. I enrolled and began my Mandarin learning journey there. I managed to complete Basic Level HSK 1 and HSK 2 before the learning process was interrupted by COVID. To be genuine, I only got opportunities to learn until level 2 due to my hectic daily routine. Kindly make your schedule and learn even better than I. It’s my wish for everyone out there.
Wang Laoshi is a very friendly, caring, and dedicated teacher. She prefers teaching Mandarin through daily routine–based learning, which makes the language practical and easier to understand.
Learning Experience & Happiness:
I truly enjoyed learning Mandarin at FUNdarin Hub. The lessons were interesting, engaging, and never boring. I am very happy with the way I learned because the classes were interactive and filled with real-life experiences.
For example, we learned Mandarin while celebrating Chinese New Year and Deepavali at the centre. Sometimes, Wang Laoshi would conduct “chai time,” where she introduced new speaking vocabulary casually while we had tea together. In addition to that, she even brought students for hiking activities. While doing physical activities, she taught us Mandarin words and sentences. It truly felt like killing two birds with one stone.
Benefits of Learning Chinese:
Learning Mandarin opens many opportunities. I have seen people from my own circle who learned Mandarin and used the language skills to pursue their dream jobs. Mandarin is not just a language, it is a valuable skill for career growth and personal development.
Achievements:
Using all these creative and practical teaching techniques, Wang Laoshi helped us understand Mandarin very well. Believe it or not, we scored nearly full marks, 100% 😊results for HSK Level 1 and Level 2. This clearly shows the power of Wang Laoshi’s teaching methods.🫡
